ACT List 2008: announcement 11am on Wednesday
Being away I can't promise any immediate commentary, but check all the usual places for details at 11am on Wednesday, especially the ACT website: www.act.org.nz.
Download my dissertationFrom Douglas to Dancing: explaining the lack of success of ACT New Zealand and evaluating its future prospects (2007). 2.8 MB; Adobe Reader required.
An article analysing the implications of the return of Sir Roger Douglas to ACT by this blog's author was published in the New Zealand Herald in March 2008.
From Douglas to Dancing was highly commended in the tertiary student research section of the Electoral Commission's 2008 Wallace Awards (PDF, 2008 Electoral Commission Annual Report - see p. 17). "[C]learly written and structured...[a]n interesting addition to the literature on smaller parties in New Zealand" - judges' comments.
As part of my BA (Hons.) degree in Political Studies at the University of Otago in 2007, I wrote a dissertation on the ACT New Zealand political party.
